89 Children were registered

While 89 children were registered for the summer lunch program, not every child received lunch every day. Some only received it on certain days of the week, some only while they were at a relative’s home, some were out of town for some of the days and a few didn’t like our lunches and discontinued the program.

$8,909.85 in Donations

Monetary donations totaled $8,909.85. Numerous donations of food were made also. The outpouring of support overwhelmed all of us with gratitude. In fact, so much was donated, by the last few weeks we were turning away donations and asking if they would donate next year as we had sufficient funds to finish the 2019 season.

$5,583.80 in Expenses

Food purchased for the children added up to $5,583.80. Each lunch cost $1.96. The estimated expense per lunch before the start of the summer was $2.46 per lunch. Had it not been for the abundance of food donations the cost per lunch would have exceeded the $2.46 estimate.
